App has ads at the top, and have been spammed with Amazing Door Access requests since installing. Additionally, HomeAssistant integration was removed, which forces use of the ad-riddled app. Would not recommend. Will be sending hub back to Amazon for a refund

This is one of the worst apps to set up that I’ve ever used. I was able to get it set up on my phone, but adding two co-owners was difficult. Do not login with an Apple account. Use an email account. Then, you have to be patient, as even if it’s all set up correctly, you will get error codes. Wait overnight and then the app will work on a co-owner’s phone.

After the update it requires a sign-in. Tried signing in and said no account was found. Made an account and now all my devices are gone and have to set everything back up

Great when it works, but frustrating when you cant access it. Even tried relocating route and added whole house mesh system.

Really need an option to open in X amount of minutes. Use case: I’m in uber with an exact ETA of when I’ll be home. While sitting in the ride it would be nice to program the garage door to open at the time that I get home. One less thing to worry about with grabbing my bag and gear from the car.

Make available on CarPlay.

Love the system . Allows a lot of options for many things done at our house

7/12/25 Must have been an update. Scheduling was intuitive and EZ. Now MyQ thinks every schedule is new, when in fact one exist. I cannot change the time to close if one exists. I Get an error But I don’t know current schedule cuz it does not display. Idiots!!

User control and co ownership does not work. Automation is a close only and on a set daily schedule. Awful. Should be able to recognize that garage has been open and set timing after open to auto close. Very disappointed. But it was like only $20.

I bought this product with the understanding that it was Amazon Alexa compatible. It worked fine for a short period of time and then they reverted to a non-supportive position unless I paid them a monthly subscription. They’re just vacation with Security, but the reality is it was about money. Because it worked perfectly fine under the prior set up.

Now you don't have to wonder! Love the app and features to share access very convenient.

Bluetooth pop-up notification “Turn On Bluetooth to Allow myQ to Connect to Accessories” on iPad 18.5 every time I open myQ app. I intentionally have Bluetooth disabled on my iPad as I don’t used it and don’t need. Version 5.288.0. Problem started around version 5.2885 or 5.2886.

I recently purchased the battery spotlight camera, which was supposed to have the option to adjust the setting so the spotlight would not come on if desired when motion was detected, but that option is still not in the app. Also when someone opens my driveway gate using the myQ keypad, the notification I receive states that’s someone has accessed my garage door rather than my gate. Please add an option to change the wording so I know if someone has opened my garage door or my gate. The wording is also incorrect when I share the gate keypad code with a guest via the app. Please add/ change this.

It worked great for a while but for whatever reason they keep updating the app, I mean, it’s a garage door opener, it open and closes garage door, no update needed. After having trouble with updates that kept it from working then eventually it would work again, at some point they updated the app and now it WILL NOT connect to the app and does not function at all, I’ve tried all the troubleshooting and resetting and one of it has fixed it this time. Would have been a five star if they would have made an app that opens the garage door and left it alone, so that it would continue to open and close it instead of “improving” it by making completely useless and non-functional

Signs you out every time you need to use it.

Works great as programmed, HOWEVER, it is in much need of an update. They should add support for CarPlay, imagine your door status on your vehicle screen and the ability to open and close from there. Also, add a notification alerting you to your door being open for a user specified time.

The new version is not working. One of my garage doors is now missing in the app and the remaining one isn’t communicating right. It’s shows as closed when it’s open and while it let me open it, I cannot close it. Can we have the prior version back?

Why would I want buttons that are the same color as the background??????? Someone should have grown a spine and stood up to the designer. You are creating a tool, not art.

Just purchased 2 MyQ cameras and will not purchase anymore. Cameras require separate video save to purchase? Cannot use with existing plan purchase? Not worth the additional costs! Also cannot see separate video at once! Only see activity one at a time. Terrible cameras!!! Garage door keypad camera the same!!

Half the time my Tesla doesn’t close the door when I drive away. Bad

Who updates app and requires new login - all info was saved and I did not need to be locked out of garage suddenly with having to figure out login info - very frustrating - opinion of product went from loving it to hating it.

I paid fifty extra dollars to make this work with Apple products HomeKit, then Chamberlain pulled support and made that device stop working. So, I went third party, only to discover they actively fight developers. Plus, they make you look at ads just to open your garage door.

Battery shows low after in unit 5 or 6 months. It will last another 6 months if it is not replaced but will show low the whole time.

In the MyQ app the co-owner was able to add or change pins to the electric locks, now they have taken this away. I called tech support and they say that’s the way it is now and they have no control over it. He also said it is more secure this way which is dumb because the co-owner can add as many users as they want. Please put back to the way it was.

The set up is easy enough if the program doesn’t crash or disconnect.

After the most recent update, the app has been extremely slow, usually resulting in me having to close out the app completely once or twice before the garage door actually opens. But even more concerning is that the garage door has started to open at random times and last night it opened at 3 AM and scared the living heck out of my wife and I. I am super frustrated with this and is making me concerned about leaving my house because I don’t want the garage door to open when I’m not home.

Garage door open or closed? Can’t beat it for peace of mind!

MyQ is a great garage door opener. My one star review is for the app. The app is not intuitive for setting up notifications. If you do anything out of order (email entry, etc.) you get “something went wrong”. You can’t change your new email within the app. Instead you have to ‘remove’ the old account and setup a new one. Setting up notifications took 10 minutes because the “Settings” icon isn’t in the Manage Account dashboard. And the setting icon is about the size of a small ant. When you finally find the small ant, you can get notifications to finally work. It doesn’t seem like it would take MyQ much effort to make the app more intuitive — allowing email changes and enlarging to Settings icon. But the garage door opener, once you get it working is great

Great addition to our home security system. Alerts are customizable allowing me to stay aware of activity on the driveway as well as a big upgrade to the standard garage door keypad. Really like the ability to verify garage door status when away from the house and the ability to open the garage when a block or two away. The My Q app is intuitive and provides video and door status information in a clean format.

If I leave my house and wonder if I remembered to close my garage door, all I have to do is look at the app rather than going back home or worrying all day. Now that’s peace of mind!!

Please update the camera settings, I can no longer change anything from my Live feed. You used to be able to switch the camera from night vision to day time depending on the lighting in the room. All those options are gone now! please put them back!

This only opens the door from inside the house. It will not close the door for love or money.

Has a lot of sales suggestions with no way to turn them off.

I will never recommend this garage door I mean every few months they are adding stuff if it works leave it alone and quit trying to force me into buying anything. I am not buying anything else from you!!!!

Tired of when I open the app to open the garage and an ad pops up. Then the app doesn’t work properly after the ad pops up. So I have to close it and reopen it. So inconvenient! I paid good money for this garage door opener. I have to be bombarded with ads just to use a free app that came with it. It clearly states that on the box. Says nothing about a huge amount of spam every time you open the app.

After the last update, whatever I do, the badge count doesn’t disappear. Please fix this bug

I have had this app and garage door opener for years. It has never worked correctly. Every time they do an update change the format of their app and to ad advertisements they screw it up even more. It’s almost to the point where it’s completely useless.. when you actually need to use it or you’re away from your property good luck getting it to open because 100 percent of you need it to work it will not if your standing there and could use the keypad then that is the only time it will work, love all the fake positive reviews though, lol

please if you can find literally any other garage service or if i can save a single person from getting this i will be happy
