myQ Garage & Access Control App Reviews

I installed this app recently and very happy with it. I have a peace of mind now. I know when garage opens and closes. I can see its state any time from anywhere. Installation took just 10 minutes. I wish it had a auto save for history of records for a set number of days. Currently it just goes on logging indefinitely.

Works well. UI could use some refinement but it works. If they had an apple watch app, it would be 5 stars. Imagine, opening your garage door from your watch. Pretty cool.

This app and whole garage door opener is useless if you cant access it easily from Siri or from control center which all can be added if you update the software on the garage door opener to work with Apple HomeKit! I heard it was coming before the end of the year... well its December, where is the support!??? Also this app isnt even optimized for iPhones with a screen bigger than 4 inches... ridiculous!! If you are going thanks take forever on adding HomeKit support at least update the app so you can open and close the garage door from a widget. Seriously, fix all of this... now!!!

After a house fire which did not reach our garage, we decided to have our garage door openers tuned up; after the tuneup, I installed LM888s at each door, and have used them since with the app. I can sit on the beach in Florida and check the status of each door. Notifications work as advertised, and so does the scheduling! The latest version allows me to see both garage doors on a single display; nice job!

Works 90% of the time. Seems to be very sensitive to the charge in the door position sensor. The major problem is the lack of support for either AppleWatch or Apple CarPlay. This severely cripples the usability of the app/unit.

Put these in when I built my house two years ago. The app has come a long way. Great for kids coming home after school.

I have 4 8500 openers that are all in one building controlled with this app. The status works good, but the control is a joke. It very rarely closes a door and now it has a new habit of opening other doors when Im trying to close one. So long heat in my shop. This app is important and should work flawlessly. Very disappointed in LiftMaster to say the least. If iPhone control is important then find a different control app.

I work in IT and was excited to receive this as a gift. Plugged on the hub and sensor, Then made an account and while it appears youre finished and it sends you an email welcoming you and telling you youre complete, you cant log into your account. A password reset email is never sent. So you start over and discover there is an Agree checkbox hidden down the screen. This allows you to login and add a device. But wait, the Serial Number on the booklet and device show no good. Gives error code every time you try to enter it. So far Ive spent 45 minutes on this POS and Im done. It goes back tomorrow. Dont waste your time or money!

Hey, so I use an iPhone 6s, and I would love to be able to see if my garage doors are open/closed and open/close them from a 3D touch (only on iPhone 6s) quick access menu. Thanks!

I like using the app to see if my garage door has been opened or not. Its always been accurate and I havent had any problems with it. :)

Its nice because my kids have it on their phones. They paid for their own iPhones so they tend not to lose or forget them like they might their keys. The app has not failed us.

I have two doors and I am alerted every time a door opens or closes. While I am away, it helps me ensure my sons are coming and going appropriately and not leaving my house exposed.

Would be pretty cool if I could open and close my garage door from my watch.

I purchased a new Q opener about one year ago and immediately set up the app. Has worked flawlessly. I like the ability to operate the opener remotely. However what I like most is the ability to check to see if I remembered to shut the garage door after leaving for work in the morning. Very helpful for forgetful or preoccupied drivers

We just installed the Liftmaster garage door opener and the app is great. It would be 5 stars if they had Touch ID versus typing in my password. I dont want to store my password in case my phone is ever stolen.

I love being able to remotely check whether my door is open or closed and being able to open my door for neighbors, service techs, etc. App allows you to open/close door without having to share your remote code with anyone.

So nice to know any time anywhere the garage door status. Plus lets me know by notification when the door opens and closes.
